  • Marching Band Groupie

    I am the proud parent of a high school band kid. I am also one of those parents who does a lot to support the band. Getting to help such a great organization and hang out behind-the-scenes with awesome kids and dedicated parents is a fun, exhausting, occasionally frustrating, and always incredibly rewarding way to Ooh!   • The Frustrated Stuck

    I sit with the Frustrated Stuck (henceforth known as the FS) more often than I like. Its internal intensity ranges from a relatively minor impatient antsiness to a distracting bother. Sometimes it’s more of an intense, annoying agitation. However strong, I manage to keep it to myself and leave those around me oblivious to my Ooh! Tell me more!


  • I have a figurative toolbox that I cart around with me everywhere. You have one, too. We all do. Maybe it’s a messy open box, or an ergonomic tote with lots of pockets, or even a fancy chest with drawers and a space for everything. Maybe you’re fancy and have a rotating collection!   • I am a professional putterer. I enjoy moving from one task to another as quickly as they pop into my busy mind. It’s so easy! It doesn’t require focus, provides instant results, and gets me moving. It’s pretty fantastic! While this active productivity feels great and I get lots of things done, it is typically Ooh!   • Peacemaker By Nature

    On the Enneagram of Personality, I’m a type Nine; a Peacemaker. Those who know me well and are familiar with the Enneagram think this is obvious. Perhaps my previous post makes more sense now. “Nines are accepting, trusting, and stable. They are usually creative, optimistic, and supportive, but can also be too willing to go Ooh!   • There are parts of my identity that I tucked away a long time ago, only I didn’t realize that is what I was doing at the time. Some parts were small and relatively insignificant, some not so much. Other parts I have not yet rediscovered. How much of who I am have I suppressed? I Ooh! Tell me more!


  • Eliminating Roadblocks

    How? Identify what’s hard! I came across a wonderful pearl of wisdom several years ago that continues to be exceptionally helpful. I was watching an interview of an ADHD expert about how parents can help their kids overcome procrastination obstacles. The expert’s key point was that to get unstuck and beat procrastination, you have to Ooh! Tell me more!
